Ending

I've just got back from watching tv. And what I saw was, I think, the most inconvenient news ever. It tells about disasters and other awful things which globally affected life in 2008.

Are you happy 2008 is over? Do you think 2008 is a prompt on what will happen in 2009? Are you scared of 2009? What have you done in 2008 or what you haven't? Are you doing the right thing by doing that or not doing this?

Global crisis, Israel assault, Bombs, Natural disaster, etc etc

Will it be over, soon....? Why I have this feeling that it will all become worse.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the real business hasn't started yet.

Hobby

I have a story in the making, and if there's one thing I love beside going out, it will be making story.
So, like the rest of teenage girls on this planet, fan-fiction is my speciality. I've been writing about Alex Gaskarth, Pete Wentz, Martin Johnson just to name a few. Oh I'm such a dork.

So, the one I'm making right now is about someone with bipolar disorder and he somewhat tortured his girlfriend by his attitude, but because the girlfriend was loving this guy to death, she felt it's okay and continue to take care his boyfriend. Until one day she found out that his boyfriend has gone missing and she experienced her childhood trauma.

Maybe it sounds so classic to some people (because it is to me) but believe me, I've done no harm to other people's story and rip noone's copyright whatsoever. This is completely original and this story related to nobody around me.

Oh yeah last thing before I go, can you guess who's the one I'm writing about? The clue is up there, he's got bipolar disorder, and I already mentioned his name on this post.

List

The intention is not sounding cliche, but 2008 is ending soon...
And again, the intention isn't cliche, but I think make a list of the year-favorite music is such a good idea.
Okay, so let's start with...... Albums!
(Take note that this is my year-favorite. I careless much about the similar genre or the lack of my knowledge of other 2008 great records. This is what I listen to for the entire year, and only that release in 2008. This is not a recommendation, I repeat this is not a recommendation, so you can either cry the hell out and hating me all the way or shut up, sit back, and enjoy the list.)

There are 11 albums in total. Most people make a great deal for only choosing 10, but I'm different, and I'm cool like that. I eliminated so many albums in the way because I'm not gonna lie, 2008 is such a good year for good music..

11. Millionaires - Bling Bling Bling EP
They captured everyone's attention in a very short time. Their musical and somewhat myspace-whore style did a great job for doing that. And, unless you're just hating people that suddenly famous, you can't help but loving these girls like I do. I admit they're just a bunch of stupid-looking girls who mess with the garage-band. I admit, they seem like they have no talent. But, people, you just have to admit that their songs are as catchy as how I think they are.

10. Anberlin - New Surrender
Honestly, there's nothing special about this album, but I can't help it. I LOVE ANBERLIN. And putting them on the list is such a must for me, even they only hang on number 10 spot. The feel good drag still the most lovable track out of the others. I know it's an old song, but like people say, old doesn't mean bad.
There's no significant change on their musical style, or should I say, nothing change indeed. This album is just a reminder on how long they've been on this industry and how much their influence to other people. Cities still rule, but this album is not bad either.

9. Mindless Self Indulgence - If
Playful. It's one word to describe this hella-crazy-composed album. Such a beat and cool lyrics. Issue is the track you HAVE to hear, so many energy and such a fun lyric and sounds. They stay on my all-time favorite and to be honest this is the first album from MSI I got to hear, and I'm so not regretting. I'm looking forward for their next records and I'm sure so is everyone else who listen to this album.

8. Lady Gaga - The Fame
She's new but that doesn't mean her songs are 'newbie'. This album caught my attention by the first single and the rest of the tracks are surprisingly good too. Nothing else I can say stuck on my head for a long-period of time and so is Just Dance which happened to be the massive hit from this album. I know, I know, such a sell-out taste, but if you're being me, you can't help it but put this amazing album to this list.
7. Paramore - Live in the UK 2008
I wanted to put Riot! on this list so bad, but I try to keep this list straight and honest because I've said that I only put records that release on 2008, and bluntly Riot! isn't. But, I can't give up just yet, Live in the UK is one album they've released and it contains almost all the Riot! songs with additional songs such as decoy and my heart which also my favorite. The applause and Hayley's interaction with the crowd make this album feels LIVE and it feels wow. They're such a great band and produce such great music that is fun to play and fun to listen to.

6. A Static Lullaby - Rattlesnake!
This is the only album that contains scream on this list and it's such a shame. Question at the moment: Does my music taste become cheesier? Hmmm
Okay nevermind of what I just said. My favorite track is Everybody Got a Lil' Fonz n 'Em which contains such great people's names like Elvis and Johnny Cash on the lyric. Their musically changed and did everyone notice they've changed A LOT since their self-titled album? Oh well, being older means being more adapting. Maybe they won't end up like Aiden which mocked and stuff because their appearances.

5. Search the City - A Fire So Big The Heavens Can See It
The best best best album for all time. While most similar bands bore me on second or third time listening, they surprised me by being on the most-played list for such a long time. My favorite track would be The Streetlight Diaries which its lyrics couldn't I understand a bit. I found this band on Alternative Press, and for that I should thank them.

4. Falling Up - Discover The Trees Again (The Best Of Falling Up)
Indeed the best. I never realize how many album they've released before this record came out. Contains many of my favorite of them which are Hotel Aquarium, Bittersweet, and Broken Heart just to name a few. Their music rocks but it gets annoying when they started to say 'Jesus Jesus' and stuffs. I'm a fan for christian bands because of their utterly good music, not for the lyrics, which I happen to be, can't figure out the meaning behind most of the christian lyrics either.

3. Katy Perry - One of the Boys
I've never thought this kind of music will make me go crazy for playing it over-and-over again. Self Inflicted is my non-hit favorite track, while Hot n' Cold is my hit single favorite. Her vocal sounds somewhat right in my ear, it's a female vocal with bass accent, such a cool combination.

2. Hey Monday - Hold on Tight
Despite being trashed here and there, this band really has the right mixed of female-vocal and powerpop music, something I haven't found on other band just yet. They just rock in so many way, I couldn't ask for more.

1. Hawk Nelson - Hawk Nelson is My Friend
Just couldn't have been better. The best out of their records so far. Catchy songs, easy-to-understand lyrics, great music. But, then again, I hate it when christian bands started to 'Jesus jesus' their songs. It's so hard to determine my favorite tracks because there are all rock but I would go for Ancient History and Let's Dance, which tells about typical girl and boy and the other tells about typical discipline work for money. One thing I love from this band, they wrote line with cool wordplay. I could relate to many of their lyrics and it's such an amazing thing.

That's it, the end of my list. Maybe I will write some more list but until now, it's over. Such a tiring thing doing this kind of thing, you know.
